In a New York Times article about the study, Barrow Neurologist Dr. Javier Cárdenas said the development of a reliable linguistic tool could also help evaluate head injuries among military personnel and victims of domestic violence. Dr. Cárdenas is the director of the Concussion and Brain Injury Center at Barrow.
