    Research Technician
    Laboratory Manager

    Danielle DiPerna received her BS in biology from Coastal Carolina University, where she researched the role of ubiquitin conjugating enzymes in prion disease.  She received her MS in biomedical sciences from Midwestern University and performed a thesis project investigating the effects of alpha 3 beta 4-containing nicotinic acetylcholine receptor modulation on mitochondrial dynamics and function. After completion of her degree, Danielle began research in a cancer genomics laboratory with a focus on epigenetics at the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen).

    While at Barrow, Danielle is interested in developing preclinical models of glioblastoma as well as understanding how blood brain barrier targeted nanoparticle delivery can be applied for therapeutic use.
