Heather Caples, PhD, is an associate professor in the Department of Clinical Neuropsychology at Barrow Neurological Institute.
Dr. Caples’ expertise includes neuropsychological assessment and psychotherapy services for patients adjusting to spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, stroke, brain tumor, and other neurological conditions. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Academy of Spinal Cord Injury Professionals.
Dr. Caples received her doctorate from Arizona State University in clinical psychology and completed her internship at VA Puget Sound Health Care System, Seattle, Washington. She completed her fellowship in rehabilitation psychology at University of Washington Medical Center and a residency in clinical neuropsychology at Barrow Neurological Institute.
Dr. Caples’ clinical interests include rehabilitation neuropsychology, psychosocial adjustment to illness and injury, patient and family education, sexuality and disability, and family adaptation.
