Heather Caples, PhD, is an associate professor in the Center for Transitional Neuro-Rehabilitation at Barrow Neurological Institute at Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix.
Dr. Caples’ expertise includes neuropsychological assessment and psychotherapy services for patients adjusting to spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, stroke, brain tumor, and other neurological conditions. She is a member of the American Psychological Association.
Dr. Caples received her doctorate from Arizona State University in Tempe in clinical psychology and completed her internship at VA Puget Sound Health Care System in Seattle. She completed her fellowship in rehabilitation psychology at University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle and a residency in clinical neuropsychology at Barrow Neurological Institute.
Dr. Caples’ clinical interests include rehabilitation neuropsychology, psychosocial adjustment to illness and injury, patient and family education, sexuality and disability, and family adaptation.
