    Jennifer Lehrman, MS

    Research Engineer

    Jennifer Lehrman is a research engineer in the Spinal Biomechanics Laboratory at Barrow Neurological Institute. Jennifer received her BSE and MS in biomedical engineering from Arizona State University in 2011 and 2012. She has 10 years of research experience beginning during her undergraduate career in cancer therapeutics research and continuing with the Barrow Spinal Biomechanics Laboratory in 2013.

    Jennifer has designed and conducted various in vitro studies evaluating spinal stability via range of motion while also applying additional measurement techniques that include strain gauging, micro-motion, and digital image correlation to existing standardized test procedures.  Jennifer also directly oversees and manages all laboratory volunteers and interns, and provides training to neurosurgical  fellows in laboratory techniques and custom testing protocols.
