Kevin Choi, MD, is a neurologist in the Epilepsy Center and an assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at Barrow Neurological Institute. He is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Dr. Choi’s expertise includes the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy, with special interests in refractory epilepsy, trauma-induced and brain tumor-related epilepsy, epilepsy surgery, therapeutic devices, and critical care neurodiagnostic monitoring. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society, the American Epilepsy Society, and the Korean American Medical Association.

Dr. Choi earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago. He completed his neurology residency at Barrow Neurological Institute, where he also completed clinical neurophysiology and epilepsy fellowships.

Dr. Choi’s research interests include status epilepticus management, sudden unexpected death in epilepsy, and trauma-induced epilepsy.
