    Lynette Bustos, BS

    Graduate Student

Lynette Bustos graduated from The University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Science. Her research interests lie in determining mechanisms of neuronal degeneration that are specific to neurodegenerative disease pathology. Ms. Bustos is particularly interested in understanding how disruptions in the neuron-glia and glia-glia communication networks result in neuronal death, and how those disruptions contribute to disease onset and pathology. Her current project involves investigating the role of cortical astrocytes in the neurodegeneration of cortical neurons leading to dementia in C9orf72-FTD/ALS.
