Tricia L. Merkley, PhD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Neuropsychology at Barrow Neurological Institute. She is board certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology in the specialty of clinical neuropsychology.
Dr. Merkley’s expertise includes neuropsychological assessment and intervention for a range of neurological conditions, including traumatic brain injury, concussion, and stroke. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the International Neuropsychological Society.
Dr. Merkley received her doctorate from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah in clinical psychology. She completed her internship at VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and completed her fellowship at The Institute of Rehabilitation and Research Memorial Hermann/Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Merkley’s research studies include utilizing neuroimage analysis to investigate structural brain changes following traumatic brain injury and how they relate to neurobehavioral functioning during recovery.
