  • Bryan Lee, MD

    Bryan Lee, MD, is a neurosurgeon in the Department of Neurosurgery at Barrow Neurological Institute.

    Dr. Lee specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery and complex spinal deformity correction. He treats spinal deformities, spinal degenerative diseases, cranial and spinal trauma, and brain and spinal tumors. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, AOSpine North America, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and the North American Spine Society.

    Dr. Lee earned his medical degree from the Loma Linda University School of Medicine in California. He completed his residency in neurosurgery and a fellowship in spine surgery at Cleveland Clinic.

    Dr. Lee’s research interests include comparative analyses of clinical outcome data to optimize health-related quality of life in patients and clinical and biomechanical studies of the latest technology to treat complex spinal diseases.

    Nicki Niemann, MD

    Nicki Niemann, MD, is a neurologist in the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center and an assistant professor of neurology at Barrow Neurological Institute. He is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

    Dr. Niemann’s expertise includes the diagnosis and management of Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society.

    Dr. Niemann earned his medical degree from the University of Copenhagen in Denmark. He completed his neurology residency and a fellowship in movement disorders at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

    Dr. Niemann’s research interests include clinical trials and translational research in Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders, genetics of Parkinson’s disease, and novel applications of botulinum toxin.

    Ryan Rehl, MD

    Joanne Ruelas, LMSW

    Joanne Ruelas is a licensed master social worker in the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute. She works in the Legacy Care Program.

    Ms. Ruelas’ expertise includes providing support, education, and resources to patients and caregivers. She works with patients who have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders.

    Ms. Ruelas obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from Arizona State University.
