    Caregiver Corner

Although caring for someone you love can be very rewarding, it also can be a tough and demanding role, compounded further by limited information and resources. The following courses are designed to provide useful information and interactive exercises and tools targeted toward your wellbeing as a caregiver.

The following classes have been scheduled sequentially at each location listed below so that caregivers may participate in one or all of the classes:

Caring For You, Caring For Me
Developed by the Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregiving this educational and supportive program is for people who are caring for individuals with a disability. The 5-week program provides caregivers with an opportunity to gain information on being a caregiver an opportunity to:

    – Gain information on being a caregiver and what that role entails
    – Learn methods of coping with the stresses and strains of being a caregiver
    – Learn about resources available to them
    – Discover ways of communicating and working together to reduce some of the frustrations and barriers they face in their caregiver roles
    – Share common concerns and feelings
    – Recognize that they are not alone and how to learn from their emotions

There is no charge for this class but size is limited, registration is required by calling Joanne Ruelas at (602) 406-4266 or [email protected]
