Carolynne Garrison Howard, PhD, is a clinical psychologist in the Cleft and Craniofacial Center at Barrow Neurological Institute. She is licensed by the Arizona Board of Psychologist Examiners.

Dr. Garrison specializes in evaluating and treating children and teens who have cleft and craniofacial conditions and providing support for their families. She participates in multidisciplinary planning teams and special programs that enhance the quality of life of these young patients and their families. She is a member of the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association and the American Psychological Association-Society of Pediatric Psychology.

Dr. Garrison earned her master’s and doctorate degrees in clinical psychology from Arizona State University. She completed her internship in clinical child psychology at the University of New Mexico Medical School.

Dr. Garrison’s research interests include the adjustment of children and families to chronic illnesses and clinical interventions for children and teens with cleft lip, cleft palate, and other craniofacial conditions.
