Erin C. Prenger, DO, is a professor of neuroradiology and physician in the Neuroradiology Department at Barrow Neurological Institute, Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Prenger is board-certified in radiology and neuroradiology by the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology.
Dr. Prenger’s expertise includes pediatric neuroradiology as well as spine imaging and intervention. He is a member of the Radiological Society of North America, American Society of Neuroradiology, Western Neuroradiology Society, American Osteopathic College of Radiology, American Osteopathic Association, American College of Radiology and a founding member of the American Society of Pediatric Neuroradiology.
Dr. Prenger received his medical degree from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa. He completed his internship at Oakland General Hospital in Detroit, Michigan and completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Prenger then completed a fellowship in pediatric neuroradiology at The Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago and also completed a fellowship in neuroradiology at Barrow Neurological Institute.
Dr. Prenger’s research studies include imaging of hypothalamic hamartomas, imaging evaluation of laser ablative therapies, and imaging of traumatic brain injury.
