Ruth Bristol, MD, is a pediatric neurosurgeon in the Cleft and Craniofacial Center at Barrow Neurological Institute. She is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and the American Board of Pediatric Neurological Surgery.

Dr. Bristol performs all areas of pediatric neurosurgery, including craniofacial disorders, spinal developmental abnormalities, hypothalamic hamartoma and other brain tumors, spinal tumors, trauma, and hydrocephalus. She is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the American Society of Pediatric Neurosurgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and the Society of University Neurosurgeons.

Dr. Bristol earned her medical degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. She completed her neurosurgery residency at Barrow Neurological Institute and a fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.

Dr. Bristol’s research interests include craniosynostosis, cerebrovascular abnormalities, and brain tumors.
