Kathryn Preston, DDS, MS, is a craniofacial orthodontist in the Cleft and Craniofacial Center at Barrow Neurological Institute. She is board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics.

Dr. Preston’s expertise includes the orthodontic and interdisciplinary care of patients with orofacial cleft and craniofacial conditions. She is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association, and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists.

Dr. Preston obtained her undergraduate degree in Spanish from the University of Kentucky and Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), School of Dentistry. She earned her master’s degree in oral biology and a specialty certificate in orthodontics from Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. She completed a fellowship in craniofacial orthodontics at Seattle Children’s Hospital Craniofacial Center in Washington.

Dr. Preston’s research interests are in growth and development, diagnostic and care protocols, outcomes, and education.
