ARP President

Tiffany Meites, PhD, a rehabilitation psychologist in the Department of Clinical Neuropsychology at Barrow, has been elected to serve as the next President of the Academy of Rehabilitation Psychology. The organization is committed to improving clinical care in the field through continuing education. Dr. Meites will begin her one-year term at the end of February 2026.

Crucial Catch Honoree

Glynnis Zieman, MD, MPH, FAAN, FAHS, director of the Brain Injury and Sports Neurology Center at Barrow, was honored alongside other cancer survivors at an Arizona Cardinals game at State Farm Stadium as part of Crucial Catch, an NFL initiative that promotes early cancer detection. Dr. Zieman was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) in February 2024 at age 37, after discovering a lump herself. She underwent five months of chemotherapy and three surgeries at the Dignity Health Cancer Institute to treat the aggressive form of breast cancer. This past September, she celebrated one year of being cancer free.

Barrow Neurological Foundation received the Global Leadership Award at the Mayor’s International 2025 gala, hosted by Phoenix Sister Cities, for its work to elevate Phoenix on the global stage. Barrow Neurological Institute President and CEO Michael T. Lawton, MD, and Foundation Board Chair Mitch Sayare, PhD, accepted the award on behalf of the Foundation.
