TBI & Domestic Violence Primary Care Provider Forum

Course Goal

This course provides information about domestic violence, recognizing traumatic brain injuries, and medical, psychiatric, and rehabilitation care needs for patients with a TBI due to domestic violence.

Course Learning Objectives

  1. Describe ways to identify signs of abuse and demonstrate understanding of traumatic brain injury diagnostic criteria.  
  2. Apply knowledge of traumatic brain injury identification and treatment options to their practice.
  3. Implement strategies for facilitating resources for patients who are victims of domestic violence and/or traumatic brain injury.
