Charlene Grove, MS, BSN, RN
Charlene Grove is the Director of Neuroscience Nursing at Barrow Neurological Institute. Charlene began her healthcare career in 1991 with an Associate’s Degree in nursing from Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, California. She went on to work in healthcare throughout the United States, settling in Arizona in 1998.
Charlene earned her BS in Nursing from Grand Canyon University in 2007 and her MS in Bioethics from Alden March Bioethics Institute at Albany Medical College in 2011, where she is now a member of the faculty. She is a certified ethicist and an active member of the ethics consultation team at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. She co-facilitates the Alden March Capstone for the Ethics Certification in Phoenix, Arizona. Charlene is chair of the organ donor program at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center.
Charlene has a passion for the practical application of ethics at the bedside. Since 2008, she has co-facilitated a series of practical ethics and moral distress workshops for members of the healthcare team. She is an active member of the Arizona Bioethics Network.
