Cindy Sullivan, MN, ANP-C, CNRN
Cindy Sullivan, MN, ANP-C, CNRN, is the traumatic brain injury–spinal cord injury program coordinator at Barrow Neurological Institute. She is certified as an adult nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and as a neuroscience registered nurse by the American Board of Neuroscience Nursing.
Barrow is the only acute care hospital in the United States to earn the Joint Commission Disease-Specific Care Certification for both traumatic brain injury (TBI) and spinal cord injury (SCI). As the TBI-SCI program coordinator, Ms. Sullivan is responsible for program development, quality assessment, improvement, and communications. She also works with other neurological specialists throughout the continuum of care to support the ongoing care of neurotrauma patients. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses, the American Nurses Association, the Arizona Nurses Association, and the World Federation of Neuroscience Nursing.
Ms. Sullivan received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Iowa, her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Phoenix, and a certification as an adult nurse practitioner from Arizona State University.
Ms. Sullivan’s research is focused on patients with traumatic brain injuries and spinal cord injuries.
