Matthew Boliaux, DO, is an internist and a somnologist in the Sleep Center and an assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at Barrow Neurological Institute. He is board certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Boliaux specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of the full spectrum of sleep disorders, with a particular interest in chronic insomnia and REM sleep behavior disorder. He is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the Arizona Sleep Society.

Dr. Boliaux earned his medical degree from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine at A.T. Still University in Missouri. He completed both his internal medicine residency and a sleep medicine fellowship at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix.

Dr. Boliaux’s research interests include social determinants of sleep quality (e.g., socioeconomic factors, heat, etc.), REM sleep behavior disorder, and sleep-disordered breathing endotypes. He is also passionate about teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
