Parul Goel, MD, is a physiatrist and an assistant professor at Barrow Neurological Institute. She is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, with a subspecialty board certification in pain medicine.

Dr. Goel’s expertise includes back pain management. She is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation; the Association of Academic Physiatrists; the Physiatric Association of Spine, Sports and Occupational Rehabilitation; the American Medical Association; and the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine.

Dr. Goel received her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston. She also completed an interventional pain management and spine fellowship in anesthesia at the University of North Carolina Medical Center.

Dr. Goel’s research interests include interventional pain management with a focus on back pain.
