Mr. Bassett earned his Master of Medical Sciences in Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Brigham Young University in Rexburg, Idaho.

Mr. Bassett is deeply passionate about community service and advancing health equity, with a strong commitment to serving underserved and vulnerable populations. He played a key role in building a free health clinic to provide accessible, quality care to individuals who otherwise lacked medical resources. In addition, Mr. Bassett lived in Madagascar for two years, where he taught English and partnered with local communities on sustainable development projects, including building homes, wells, and essential infrastructure. These experiences shaped his understanding of the social determinants of health and continue to drive his dedication to creating equitable, community-centered solutions in health care.
