Tiffany Sheehan, PhD, RN, SCRN, ASC-BC, FAHA
Tiffany Sheehan, PhD, SCRN, ASC-BC, FAHA, is the stroke program coordinator in the Petznick Stroke Center at Barrow Neurological Institute. She is board certified as an advanced stroke coordinator (ASC-BC) by the Association of Neurovascular Clinicians and is a stroke-certified registered nurse (SCRN) through the American Board of Neuroscience Nursing.
Dr. Sheehan’s expertise is in leading the pursuit of stroke center excellence by improving the care of patients through program development, implementation of evidence-based practice, quality improvement, education, and research. She is a fellow of the American Heart Association and a member of the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Dr. Sheehan earned her Doctor of Nursing Science with a concentration in health outcomes and policy from the University of Florida, College of Nursing in Gainesville. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Santa Fe College in Gainesville.
Dr. Sheehan’s research is focused on developing a comprehensive understanding of how nursing care contributes to neuroscience patient outcomes.
