Wonsuk Yoo, PhD

Wonsuk Yoo, PhD, is an associate professor and a biostatistician in the Department of Translational Neuroscience and the Ivy Brain Tumor Center at Barrow Neurological Institute.

He has expertise in drug discovery, population-based cancer research, and preclinical and clinical trial design. He is a member of the American Association for Cancer Research, the American Statistics Association, and the American Public Health Association.

Dr. Yoo earned his Master of Science degree in statistics from the University of Florida in Gainesville and his Doctor of Philosophy degree in biostatistics from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

Dr. Yoo’s research interests include developing statistical and quantitative approaches that use big data to understand human diseases such as cancer and solve public health problems and health disparities. He serves as a co-investigator on multiple National Institutes of Health (NIH) R01 and Department of Defense grants and has more than 50 peer-reviewed publications.
