Timothy Fullam, MD, FAAN, is a neurologist in the Gregory W. Fulton ALS and Neuromuscular Disease Center and an associate professor in the Department of Neurology at Barrow Neurological Institute. He is board certified in both neurology and neuromuscular medicine by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Dr. Fullam specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), muscular dystrophy, neuropathies, and other neuromuscular disorders. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

Dr. Fullam earned his medical degree from Pennsylvania State College of Medicine in Hershey. He completed his neurology residency at San Antonio Military Medical Center in Texas and a neuromuscular fellowship at University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City.

Prior to coming to Barrow, Dr. Fullam was an active duty Air Force neurologist and neuromuscular specialist. During his time with the military, he served as the associate program director for the Air Force residency for three years, as well as successfully started the first multidisciplinary care clinic for complex neuromuscular diseases and ALS in the Department of Defense at Brooke Army Medical Center. Dr. Fullam is involved in clinical trials for ALS, as well as studies focused on optimizing clinical care of patients with the disease. Given his military background, he is also interested in the increased risk of ALS associated with military service. Outside of ALS, his research interests include inflammatory muscle disease and myasthenia gravis.
