Department of Neurosurgery

The Creighton School of Medicine – Phoenix Campus Class of 2026 presented Barrow President and CEO Michael T. Lawton, MD, with the Distinguished Educator in Neurosurgery Award and Chief Neurosurgery Resident Mark Pacult, MD, with the Resident Teaching Scholar Award in Neurosurgery.

The Creighton School of Medicine – Phoenix Campus Class of 2026 presented Barrow Associate Professor of Neurology Michael Robers, MD, MS, with the Distinguished Educator in Neurology Award and PGY-2 Neurology Resident Jahnavi Shriram, MD, with the Resident Teaching Scholar Award in Neurology.

Department of Neurology

Barrow neurologists Justine Chan, MD, and Justin Hoskin, MD, have been promoted from assistant to associate professors, clinician-scholar track, in the Department of Neurology at the Neuroscience Committee Meeting on April 22.

Department of Neuroradiology

Raza Mushtaq, MD, have been promoted from an assistant to associate professor, clinician-scholar track, in the Department of Neuroradiology at the Neuroscience Committee Meeting on April 22.

Department of Translational Neuroscience

Artak Tovmasyan, PharmD, PhD, has been promoted from assistant to associate professor, scientist track, in the Department of Translational Neuroscience at the Neuroscience Committee Meeting on April 22.

The Women’s Board of Barrow Neurological Institute has been named CommonSpirit Health’s Philanthropist of the Year—the first time this recognition has ever been awarded to a collective group of individuals.
