About Our Program

If you’ve been recently diagnosed with a neuro multiple sclerosis (MS), or are in the process of trying to get a confirmed diagnosis, we understand the fear and trepidation you may be feeling. Multiple sclerosis and neuroimmune diseases are not fully understood, and unfortunately that means that people with these disorders face more unknowns than we would like.

Here is what we do know: neuroimmune diseases affect multiple areas of the brain and spinal cord, leaving lesions that interfere with the ability of the nervous system to send and receive signals. A person with a neuroimmune disease like multiple sclerosis may experience trouble walking, muscle stiffness or spasms, weakness, vision problems, or numbness or tingling sensations, among other symptoms.

At Barrow Neurological Institute, our multiple sclerosis and neuroimmune disease specialists strive to alleviate those symptoms, as well as to educate and empower you as you fight your illness, and to enlist you as a partner as we search for new, more effective treatments. Through access to clinical trials, advanced facilities, and our deep base of clinical knowledge, we hope that we can give you a sense of hope, determination, and purpose as you partner with us for your care.
