Barrow Global Symposium
Course Goal
The goal of this course is to introduce the participants to Global Neurosurgery, to describe current initiatives by Barrow Global, and to illustrate powerful potential future opportunities for education, research, and advocacy on behalf of underserved neurosurgical and neurological patients.
Course Learning Objectives
- Describe the definition of Global Neurosurgery
- Discuss the current neurosurgical activity of Barrow Global at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Center and the education/service plans for 2023
- Explain the goals and activities of Mission: Brain in training neurosurgeons in Mexico
- Describe the use and role of new technologies in providing education for surgeons and surgical teams in the developing world
