Multiple Sclerosis Empowerment Summit

Who Should Attend

This program has been designed to meet the needs of patients who are being treated for neuroimmune disorders, especially multiple sclerosis. Patients in attendance will receive resources on the latest medications, trials, and therapies available for them here at Barrow. The patients will also be able to ask questions and continue building their support network throughout the program.

Objectives

  • Explain current disease-modifying therapies available for multiple sclerosis
  • Define the current available clinical trials at Barrow
  • Explain importance of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy in maintaining functional status in your everyday life
  • Convey resources for caregivers and patients from a social work perspective
  • Define community engagement opportunities available at Barrow
