Dr. Brown specializes in neuro-rehabilitation management of patients with brain injuries, strokes, adult cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, and other neurologic conditions. She is trained in evaluating and treating patients with spasticity, spasmodic torticollis, limb dystonia, and sialorrhea using botulinum toxin. Dr. Brown has expertise in ultrasound- and electromyographic-guided botulinum toxin injections, baclofen pump management, and ultrasound-guided lidocaine nerve blocks and phenol neurolysis to manage spasticity. She is familiar with FDA indications for brands like Botox® (onabotulinumtoxinA), Dysport (abobotulinumtoxinA), Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxinA), Myobloc (rimabotulinumtoxinB), and DAXXIFY (daxibotulinumtoxinA). She is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Brown earned her medical degree from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University in Glendale. She completed her physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Brown’s research interests include advanced spasticity management.
