Gretchen Calachan, AuD, is a clinical audiologist in the Department of ENT and Skull Base Surgery at Barrow Neurological Institute. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Dr. Calachan’s expertise lies in the diagnosis and management of hearing and vestibular disorders, with a special interest in cochlear implants. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and a member of the American Auditory Society and the American Cochlear Implant Alliance.
Dr. Calachan earned her Doctorate of Audiology from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. She completed an audiology externship in the Cochlear Implant Program at Barnes Jewish Hospital, which is affiliated with Washington University.
Dr. Calachan’s research interests include optimizing post-operative performance in cochlear implant patients, and predictive models of post-operative outcomes.
