Hirotaka Sato, MD, PhD
Hirotaka Sato, MD, PhD, is a postdoctoral fellow in the Barrow Aneurysm and AVM Research Center and the Department of Translational Neuroscience at Barrow Neurological Institute.
Dr. Sato’s expertise centers on aneurysms and other cerebrovascular disorders. He holds board certifications from the Japanese Society for Neuroendovascular Therapy and the Japan Stroke Society.
Dr. Sato earned both his medical degree and his PhD in neuroscience from Asahikawa Medical University in Hokkaido, Japan. He also completed a residency in neurosurgery at Asahikawa Medical University, followed by research and clinical fellowships in the university’s Department of Neurosurgery.
Dr. Sato’s research focuses on elucidating the pathophysiology of subarachnoid hemorrhage and developing therapeutic agents for this condition.
