John P. Karis, MD, is the Chair of the Department of Neuroradiology at Barrow Neurological Institute. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology.

Dr. Karis is a member of the Radiology Society of North America, the American Society of Neuroradiology, the American College of Radiology, and the International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine.

Dr. Karis received his medical degree from Duke University in Durham, N.C. and completed his internship from North Carolina Memorial Hospital. He completed his residency at Duke University, where he became chief resident, and completed his fellowship at Barrow Neurological Institute.
