Dr. Hwang earned her medical degree from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. She completed her neurosurgery residency at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio and a fellowship in neurosurgical oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, New York.

Dr. Hwang’s research interests lie in primary and metastatic brain tumors, spinal cord tumors, drug delivery for cancer, minimally invasive approaches for brain and spine surgeries, laser ablation therapy, and radiosurgery.
