Taro Kaibara, MD, earned his BS at the prestigious McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, before going on to earn his MD at the University of Toronto in Ontario. He completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Calgary in Alberta. At the University of Calgary, Dr. Kaibara had the privilege of working on innovative developments with surgical robotics and mobile intraoperative MRI techniques to enhance neurosurgical outcomes through real time MRI images in the operating room before, during, and after surgery.

Dr. Kaibara performs neurosurgical procedures regularly at both Barrow Neurological Institute at Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix and Dignity Health Chandler Regional Medical Center in Chandler, Arizona, where he serves as the medical director of neurosurgery. He treats patients with both simple and complex cranial and spinal disorders, utilizing the latest in surgical techniques and instrumentation. He also offers minimally invasive approaches.

When not at work, Dr. Kaibara spends his time with his wife and three daughters. He likes to stay active by playing golf, baseball, and hockey.
