Austin Svec, MD, MS, is a neuroradiologist in the Department of Neuroradiology at Barrow Neurological Institute.
Dr. Svec’s expertise lies in the interpretation of neuroimaging to diagnose injuries, diseases, and disorders of the brain, spine, head, and neck. He is a member of the American College of Radiology, the American Roentgen Ray Society, and the American Society of Neuroradiology.
Dr. Svec earned both his medical degree and a master’s degree in medical anatomy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. He completed an internal medicine internship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, followed by a diagnostic radiology residency at Creighton University Health Sciences Campus – Phoenix and a neuroradiology fellowship at Barrow Neurological Institute.
Dr. Svec’s research interests include the use of artificial intelligence tools in health care and in medical education and training.
