Mathew Smith, MD, is a neuroradiologist in the Department of Neuroradiology at Barrow Neurological Institute.

Dr. Smith specializes in the interpretation of neuroimaging to diagnose injuries, diseases, and disorders of the brain, spine, head, and neck.

Dr. Smith earned his medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona and his fellowship in neuroradiology at Barrow Neurological Institute.

Dr. Smith’s research interests include spontaneous intracranial hypotension, CSF-venous fistulas, spinal interventions, quality improvement, medical education, and head and neck imaging.
