Steve Chang, MD, is a neurosurgeon at Barrow Neurological Institute. He is board certified in neurosurgery by the American Board of Neurological Surgery.
Dr. Chang’s expertise is in the surgical treatment of both brain and spine disorders, including tumors, degenerative spinal conditions, and traumatic injuries. He is experienced in spinal fusion techniques, artificial disc replacement surgery, and robotic spine surgery.
Dr. Chang earned his medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill. He completed his neurosurgery residency, as well as skull base cerebrovascular, and complex spine fellowships, at Barrow Neurological Institute.
Dr. Chang’s research interests are intricately tied to improving lives through methods such as lateral lumbar interbody fusions, spinal arthroplasty, and surgical resections of spinal cord metastases—to name a few.
