You’ve been told that you have a brain tumor. We understand that you may be experiencing a wide range of emotions, but we’d like the opportunity to assist you as you weigh your treatment options and develop a plan of attack.
There are many different types of brain tumors. Some require no treatment, only watchful waiting. Others require an aggressive treatment plan. At the Barrow Brain Tumor Program, we have more experience treating tumors of the head and neck than any other medical center in the United States.
At Barrow, we see you as a partner in care, not just a patient. It is our goal to make you as informed and as involved in your treatment as you wish to be.
We know having options is important to you. Some options for treatment at Barrow include:
- access to a large number of clinical trials
- advanced Cyberknife and Gamma Knife radiosurgery
- minimally invasive and microscopic brain surgery techniques
- the ability to be a part of research that, we hope, will one day produce cures
