The Barrow Difference
For many people, the journey from neurological injury or disease through treatment and rehabilitation is not a linear one. Problems with the brain and spine tend to be complex. These cases are where Barrow Neuro-Rehabilitation shines. At Barrow, unlike stand-alone rehabilitation hospitals, consults and treatments from top-rated neurosurgeons, neurologists, and other neuro-specialists are right down the hall. We provide advanced rehabilitative technologies from the onset of your injury through different aspects of your care journey. In addition, new technologies are consistently being added to our programs, and Barrow is also involved in the development and research of new robotic therapies.
Beyond comprehensive rehabilitative care, we understand your journey doesn’t end when your neuro-rehabilitation is complete. Experiencing a neurological injury often means adapting to a new normal—which is why we also offer a peer mentorship program, disease-specific support groups, adaptive recreation opportunities, and several programs to help you return to home, school, work, and your community. Our specialists provide longtime management of the sequelae of neurological injury and its impact on your function.

Inpatient Neuro-Rehabilitation
Located within one of the world’s top neuroscience centers, our Inpatient Neuro-Rehabilitation Program integrates advanced technologies like robotics, neuromodulation, and gait training to optimize outcomes. With both inpatient and outpatient services on the same campus, patients recovering from a stroke or an injury to the brain or spinal cord benefit from seamless, comprehensive care.

Outpatient Neuro-Rehabilitation
Our Outpatient Neuro-Rehabilitation Program offers individualized, collaborative therapy for people working to regain function and confidence after stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, or other neurologic conditions. Our outpatient services emphasize flexible scheduling, tailored treatment plans, and a coordinated team approach that helps patients maintain momentum in their recovery.
With outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation closely integrated on the same campus, care transitions are smooth and continuity is preserved, ensuring patients receive comprehensive support as they progress toward greater independence.

Invested in Teamwork
Neuro-rehabilitation is a one-of-a-kind, challenging, and frequently frustrating journey. Our specialists pledge to approach you or your loved one’s recovery with patience, positivity, and most important of all, teamwork.
Our team includes:
- Neuropsychologists
- Occupational Therapists
- Physical Therapists
- Rehabilitation Nurses
- Rehabilitation Physicians
- Speech-Language Pathologists
A Leader in Neuro-Robotics
In addition to a thriving multidisciplinary team, we’re proud to be a leader in advanced rehabilitation technologies. The use of neuro-robotics mimic normal human movements and adapt to both support and challenge a patient’s abilities and many of our therapists have training in these devices.
At Barrow, we’re continuously researching and implementing the latest devices across our continuum of care.
